The E2 Everything Equestrian App emerged from a lifetime spent at the intersection of the stable and the professional equestrian world. It began with a realization: although the bond between horse and rider is timeless, the tools utilized in horse management, like barn management software, had not kept pace. The inspiration for E2 was drawn from the dust of the arena and the precision inherent in high-level dressage. By observing the complex needs of majestic breeds—from spirited competitors to gentle Shires—it became evident that owners, trainers, and barn managers needed an efficient equestrian app. This app would harmonize biometrics, veterinary records, and professional scheduling while maintaining a focus on the welfare of the animals. E2 was created to bridge that gap. By merging sophisticated data tracking with an intuitive interface, our horse management app acts as a digital partner for every equestrian. Whether supporting local 4-H programs, 'Founding Barns,' or elite competitive circuits, E2 is committed to ensuring that every horse health record is meticulously maintained, every trainer receives the support they need, and every equestrian journey is documented with excellence.

The Well-being of the Horse: Our primary directive is the health and longevity of the animal. We believe that utilizing barn management software can serve as a voice for the horse, providing insights into their physical and emotional needs through detailed horse health records. Heritage & Innovation: We honor the deep traditions of the equestrian world while embracing the technology found in our equestrian app, which helps carry those traditions into the future. Operational Excellence: Whether in a professional stable or a family barn, we value the efficiency and organization that our equestrian software provides, allowing equestrians to spend less time on paperwork and more time in the saddle. There's something deeply satisfying about taking a vision, working through the messy middle, and ending up with something that genuinely makes someone's life better or easier.

Horses have been a part of his life, and they've shaped how he approaches development more than he expected. Horses teach you to listen carefully, adjust constantly, and trust.  All that translated surprisingly well to writing software.

The E2 app is his latest project. It grew out of the problem he saw and his experience that sparked it, and he's continuing to evolve it based on what users tell him.

Try the E2 app for yourself or reach out anytime.  Nick would love to hear what you think, what you'd want to see next, or just talk horses.

I was raised in a Danish family, my father‘s side of the family were farmers who also had cattle hogs and chickens. My mother‘s side of the family was Danish as well and they had farms and also a great deal of rodeo stock, including horses, bulls, etc, my grandfather on my mother side, was also a real strong entrepreneur. My father went from the farm and into the business world, especially the financial area venture capital. As I grew up, I was raised early in the rodeo discipline and as I got older, I got out of the equine world into the business world where at an early age of 18 was doing international business. After years in that decided to follow one of my strongest passions, which I got from my mother and my two Danish grandmothers, which was Culinary. Went to culinary school where I did both savory, and pastry at the same time and completing six years worth of school and just over 2 1/2. Then it was grab knives and travel. After years in the Culinary world searching for more in life brought me back to the equestrian world. At the last FBI event held in Omaha Nebraska. I saw an amazing horse and when I inquired about that horse, it was a Shire. There are less than just a few thousand Shires left in the world and one of the largest breeders in North America was right here just outside of OMAHA and Blair. When I went out to find out more about the horses, I was smitten with a two week old Philly, who became my first horse back into the equestrian world. Shortly after her, we saw another, and she became part of the family. Spending time working out there and getting more more familiar and writing several of the horses that they had out there on the farm. I came across a special stallion named Zeus. Zeus is a highly trained dressage horse, but didn’t have a rider. So when talking with my trainer, I asked her if I could give dressage a try and since she was very strong and also wrote dressage, she said sure. I’m very lucky to have a trainer who has ridden the Shires, but also understands how they work and operate, especially in the dressage world. Zeus and my adventure have been a unique one, and we’ve had many victories along our short path so far, and our future only looks brighter. And dealing with the equine world and the dressage world, I kept seeing a lack of technology and how everything could work, be tracked, maintain, and budgeted. And doing so I got together with my two partners and said why don’t we take my concept of bringing the equine world and the competition world into the digital world.

Growing up on a corn and soybean farm in rural southeastern Nebraska, I learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and community from an early age. My family’s farm, which has been in operation for over 150 years, shaped much of who I am today. In addition to farming, my father owned the local John Deere dealership, where I spent years helping out and gaining early exposure to business operations before heading off to college.

My professional journey began in entrepreneurship when I owned and operated Pioneer Video, a video and DVD rental store, from 1993 to 1998. After selling the business, I transitioned into education, where I found my true passion in teaching and coaching. In 2001, I moved my family to Arizona and continued my career in education, teaching business, computer applications, marketing, and strength and conditioning.

Over the years, I built a successful coaching career, leading teams to multiple region titles and two state runner-up finishes. In 2022, I stepped into school leadership as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Maricopa High School. In this role, I oversaw 21 athletic programs, more than 100 coaches, campus security operations, and custodial and maintenance teams, helping ensure a safe and successful environment for students and staff.

Today, I serve as the leader of an alternative junior high school program in Mesa, Arizona, where I work closely with students facing behavioral challenges, helping them find direction, accountability, and success.

Outside of my professional life, I’ve been married to my wife, Jaquel, for 33 years. We are proud parents of three daughters—Alexa, Sierra, and Rylee—and grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren.
